When a Widow Cries
When I cry… I am remembering the man who loved me well.
When I cry… I am overwhelmed with all of the responsibilities that were once shared.
When I cry… I am frustrated with losing my identity as part of a couple and embrace widowhood and being single in my forties.
When I cry… I am sad that my children will grow up without having their
Dad walk them down the aisle when they get married or hold his future
grandchildren.
When I cry… I acknowledge the love of the Lord and His great compassion for the brokenhearted… and I am comforted.
Jerry Woodbridge
Gather Vocal Band sings a comforting song called When I Cry...
